TOMRA Food Exhibits At FOOMA Japan 2024
TOMRA Food Japan will exhibit at the FOOMA Japan 2024 to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from June 4 to 7, 2024. TOMRA will introduce the latest belt-type sorting machine TOMRA 5B 800 COMPACT for the first time which is developed especially for the Japanese market.
TOMRA 5B 800 COMPACT - The latest belt-type sorting machine developed for the Japanese market
The TOMRA 5B 800 COMPACT was developed to facilitate installation in a limited area in a sorting plant by shortening the belt length from 4 meters to 2.5 meters, while maintaining the optical sorting function of the existing TOMRA 5B. Together with various machines, including steam peelers required for food processing processes to maximize production efficiency, the TOMRA 5B 800 COMPACT, which is more compact than conventional models, offers greater flexibility in installation layout. Since food processing factories in Japan have a relatively limited footprint compared to food factories in other countries, there are many requests for compact sorting machines.
Equipped with state-of-the-art sanitation features, the TOMRA 5B 800 COMPACT enables optimal sorting of leafy greens and potatoes (French fries). It recognizes color with high resolution and ensures high yields. Equipped with an easy-to-use user interface, the TOMRA 5B offers customer-specific programming and data feedback to reduce waste loss and further improve productivity. Sort to Spec is a new feature that ensures consistent and automated quality product specifications are met while optimizing yields.
TOMRA 5C 800 – free-fall sorter with AI function
The TOMRA 5C is an optical sorter for IQF vegetables/fruits and nuts that not only removes foreign objects using sensors, but also mold and allergens based on big data analysis accumulated by the company to date. Here are some examples of companies that have introduced the system, which have achieved improved yield and high productivity.
Steam Peeling technology - World’s highest market share for the maximized yield
TOMRA's steam peelers process more than 1.5 million tons of potato products per year in the global potato market. TOMRA's steam peelers offer the world's highest share in peeling accuracy and amazing steam control that guarantees a minimum yield improvement of 1% or more. The TOMRA peeler achieves yield improvements of more than 1% and energy savings to maximize yield at the processing capacity of 1,000kg to 65,000kg.
Food production lines are used in various fields such as delicatessen plants, fresh food processing, nuts & dried fruits, potatoes, French fries, etc. The goal is to prevent contamination of foreign materials in the production line process, maintain high product quality, and reduce labor and improve production efficiency. TOMRA Food, as a solution provider, can propose effective ways to utilize sorting machines in various food factory processes.
On Thursday, June 6, Steven van Geel, Regional Sales Director APAC will hold a seminar on how optical sorting machines can improve product quality, reduce labor, and increase productivity through the introduction of sorting in fresh and frozen vegetables and in potato processing plants.
